Here is my problem.
I'm taking down all of my Christmas world decos, and find, upon removing my Christmas tree skirt that that the satin backing has stained my hardwood floor. I tried cleaning with plain water to no avail, and am planning on trying vinegar, but I don't hold out much hope.
Any ideas on how to make my floor not red without removing the floor sealant would be fab!!!

mr clean magic eraser??? Use a new on and wet it and lightly rub your floor and keep rinsing it. It took off black sharpie marker from the back of my couch without ansy damage so it's worth a shot.

Try making a paste out of powder Oxyclean (or the generic stuff) rubbing it in and then letting it sit *but not too long, it may remove the varnish* That's how I got a stain off our wood floor.
