Conversation With Hubby

It's no secret that John thinks he forgets things due to his 'childhood asthma' issues. Everyone else realizes he's just missing a few braincells.....

John: "Uh, so, uh, do you usually get Brooke something special for Christmas because you're her Godmother?"

Me: "Usually a little something. Why?"

John: "Uh, well, I should probably get Bryce something then,huh?"

Me: "Why?" (Not putting 2 and 2 together)

J- "Your sister and Craig asked me to be his Godfather."

Me: 'WHAT!!!! WHEN???" (Thinking, CRAP! How did I miss THIS on Thanksgiving! )

John: "A couple of months ago."

Me: "MONTHS??? WHAT??" (Note the incredulity of hearing this little nugget for the first time ever.)

John:" Oh, at your cousin's wedding in October."

Me: "Oh my God. You're such a shit. Did you forget?"

John: "Not about being Godfather. Just about telling you."

Me: "Of Course."
